TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NC or Compact license Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS Must-Have: - ICU experience Job Description: - Provide observation and care for patients who have undergone surgical procedures requiring anesthesia. - Receive patients directly from the OR, EP Lab, Endo, IR, MRI, and ICU patients requiring recovery. - Manage recovery, which may take from 30 to 90 minutes, and discharge patients to Phase II, home, post-op tower, or ICU. - Handle patient diagnoses including Vascular, Endovascular, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, General, Bariatric, Plastics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Children---s procedures, and more. - Work with patients using special equipment like Cardiac Monitors, Blood pressure monitors, arterial lines, ICP monitoring, dopplers, fetal heart monitors, EKOS, SCD pumps, and wound vacs. - Manage patient documentation and communication through systems like Pyxis, EPIC, and Perfect Serve. - Adhere to call requirements of once every four weeks and float to areas with overflow patients as needed. - Participate in a Storm or Hurricane Team, and report for duty during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters as required. - Engage in an individualized orientation program tailored to experience and skills. - Comply with the flu vaccine requirement, with medical/religious exemptions only. - Wear navy scrubs as per unit standards. - Follow fatigue policy, ensuring not to work more than 5 consecutive days or more than 60 hours in a week. 25935580EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
