NP/PA Neurosurgery Opportunity in Greenville, NC ECU Health
Physicians and ECU Health Neurosurgery and Spine Center-Greenville
are seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
to join their practice in Greenville, North Carolina. ECU Health s
Neurosurgery team consists of 10 neurosurgeons and 9 advanced
practice providers. The successful candidate will provide inpatient
care at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed level 1 trauma
facility, regional leader for Neurosciences, and eastern North
Carolina s only Comprehensive Stroke Center. New graduates will be
considered. Experience candidates are preferred. ECU Health s
Neuroscience Program uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide a
range of services to include diagnosis, treatment and
rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders. The
hospital has specialty-trained staff in nursing, neurology, general
neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery, vascular and endovascular
neurosurgery, complex spine surgery, neuroradiology (including 24/7
in-house neuroradiology coverage), neuro-critical care and
neuro-oncology. The Neuroscience team takes great pride in their
patient- and family-centered approach to care, which promotes
optimization of patient outcomes.Highlights include:

- 7 on / 7 off schedule, 7:00 am 7:00 pm, days only
- Inpatient only clinical responsibilities will include consults,
first call, rounding, pulling of drains, admissions and
discharges
- Established neuroscience team of 10 neurosurgeons, including 2
dual-trained cerebrovascular neurosurgeons, an interventional
neurologist, inpatient stroke neurologists, 4 neurointensivists,
neurologists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants
- ECU Health Medical Center is home to a newly expanded 24-bed
NSICU as well as a large rehab center providing both inpatient and
outpatient support to neurology patients
- Dedicated team of NSICU NP/PA s providing 24/7 coverage
- Strong investment in technology including Gamma Knife,
NeuroBlate, and RAPID
- Over 1,100 neurosurgical cases performed annually to include
complex spine, cerebrovascular surgery and brain tumor
resections
- Over 1,500 annual admissions with stroke as primary
diagnosis
- Applicants will be required to have BLS certification from The
