Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiology Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights, 3x12 Hr Shifts Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week Experience: Minimum of 1 Year of Nursing Experience License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing Job Description: - Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. - Utilize the nursing process in a hospital setting for patient care delivery. - Participate in identifying and meeting self learning needs through education programs. - Use patient education materials relevant to the population served. - Assess patient/family readiness to learn and developmental level. - Identify expected patient outcomes and seek guidance for plan revisions. - Communicate relevant information for continuity of care. - Demonstrate competence in care for patients with complex problems. - Perform bedside point of care testing as needed. - Organize and prioritize care based on patient/family needs. - Consult with appropriate resources regarding complex care issues. - Develop professional growth goals and achieve them with assistance. - Participate in unit goals and activities for performance improvement. - Promote cost-effective care and give feedback to colleagues. - Maintain a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment. - Synthesize assessment data into a meaningful whole for communication. - Collaborate with patient/family on care plans and identify cultural/ethnic concerns. - Read and assess journals applicable to nursing practice and share insights. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
