  Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a--Travel RN - Oncology - 6S Medicine Shift: Nights, 6:45p-7:15a, 12x3, 36hrs per week, EOW Length: 13 weeksCall required if called off on a prescheduled shift. Requirements:
  • NC License--
  • 1 Year Experience
  • Skills: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required
  • BLS
  • Chemo cert.
  • Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start
  • CPI preferred
  • Charge nurse experience preferred Other Details:
    • Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert
    • Will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patients
    • Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
    • Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
    • Will accept 1st time travelers
    • Locals Accepted
    • Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.

Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as neededPATIENT DIAGNOSES: High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.**Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Daily Census 42.General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection. DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.*** INTERNAL NOTES ******Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty***Unit: 106-10-6S Medicine - RN Epic Travel Staffing:
