The Correctional Nurse, either LPN or RN, works part-time at the Carteret County Jail, providing critical patient care during night shifts. Responsibilities include administering medications, evaluating patient progress, and executing nursing plans within correctional guidelines. This position offers flexible scheduling with the opportunity for additional shifts and various employee benefits.

Location: -Carteret County Jail

Open Position: - -PT LPN or RN

Schedule: -2- 12 hr Night shifts per week 6p - 6:30am w/Alternating Weekends

***Could be a full-time position for right candidate

Duties include, but are not limited to: -

• 
  
• Deliver patient care, evaluate symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients, chart results, establish nursing plans and work under the boundaries of State Scope of Practice and Guidelines, and Physician/Provider(s) -
  
• Administer prescribed medications in accordance with nursing standards & correctional regulations
  
• Follow through with established treatment plans
  
• Perform emergency intervention, physical assessment and critical thinking
